There is growing worldwide interest in social enterprise as a strategy for addressing some of the world's most pressing problems with market-based solutions.
Our panel of experts will share their unique operational, investment and legal perspectives on the future of social enterprise, including, but not limited to: nonprofit, for-profit and hybrid models.

Please bring your questions for our expert panel and join us for an evening of lively discussion, networking and light refreshments!

Meet our experts and their organizations:

Deborah Alvarez-Rodriguez: President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties. Goodwill Industries' provides work opportunities and skills development to people facing barriers to employment.
 
Tessie Guillermo: President and CEO of ZeroDivide. Zero Divide invests in community enterprises that leverage technology to benefit people in low-income and other disadvantaged communities.
 
Robert Wexler: Principal, Adler & Colvin. Adler & Colvin are attorneys specializing in the nonprofit sector.
Mr. Wexler's practice focuses primarily on the areas of tax and corporate matters for nonprofits and their donors.
 
Moderator:

Jason Trimiew: Director of Fund and Business Development, REDF. REDF uses the practices of venture philanthropy to create job opportunities. Jason oversees REDF’s fundraising efforts and is also responsible for REDF’s new strategy to assist social enterprises with strategic business development.

About the Chapter:
The Social Enterprise Alliance San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (SEA SF BAY) was established in 2009 to promote social entrepreneurship and to provide networking opportunities and local support to SEA members in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Parking Information:

Mitchell Kapor Foundation offices are easily accessible from the Montgomery BART/Muni Metro Station. Hourly parking is available nearby at the Orrick Building Garage on First Street between Howard and Folsom or a few blocks away at the Moscone Center Garage on Third Street between Folsom and Howard.
